Honda Tarik 1,35 juta Unit Jazz


TOKYO- Pemberitaan penarikan kembali mobil Honda masih berlanjut, setelah belum lama ini pabrikan asal Jepang tersebut menarik produk Accord dan CRV karena masalah kebocoran oli mesin. Kini Honda dikabarkan akan menarik hingga satu juta unit Fit atau biasa disebut Jazz.

Seperti dilansir Autoevolution, Jumat (17/12/2010) Honda terpaksa menarik produk hatchback andalannya tersebut karena telah ditemukan masalah pada kabel lampu utama (head lamp).

Dalam pernyataannya Honda menyebut akan segera menarik kembali sebanyak 1,35 juta unit, dengan rincian 735 ribu unit berada di Jepang, 143 ribu unit di Amerika Serikat, dan sisanya tersebar di timur tengah, Afrika, serta Asia.

“Kendaraan bisa kehilangan fungsi low-beam pada lampu depan, karena masalah dengan kabel pada switch kontrol lampu. Lebih spesifik lagi, lapisan pada konektor kabel harness untuk sirkuit low-beam dapat aus setelah penggunaan berulang,” tulisnya.

“Plating pada konektor bisa mengakibatkan korosi dan menyebabkan konektor terlalu panas dan rusak, sehingga kehilangan fungsi low-beam,” tulis laman Autoevolution. Namun Honda menjelaskan bahwa fungsi lampu high-beam masih dapat berfungsi seperti biasa.

Honda menyebut, Jazz yang akan ditarik itu merupakan mobil yang diproduksi antara November 2007 hingga Oktober 2008, dan pemberitahuan kepada pelanggan akan dimulai pada bulan Januari 2011.
Sebagai bentuk tanggung jawab, Honda mengharuskan para kepada para pelanggan untuk membawa mobilnya ke bengkel resmi terdekat untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan. Dan bila diperlukan dilakukan penggantian part yang rusak. Semua itu akan diberikan secara gratis.
Sebelumnya, pada bulan Januari Jazz atau Fit juga baru saja mengalami recall terkait kerusakan pada jendela yang rusak dan berpotensi kebakaran. Sudah ada 7 kasus yang terjadi di AS, dua diantaranya benar-benar mengalami kebakaran.

Honda gelar seminar bisnis 2011


JAKARTA– Kaum urban di Jakarta dikenal aktif, dalam membuka wawasan baik dari sisi financial, investasi, edukasi, karir, hingga hal-hal lainnya.

Jeli melihat hal ini, Honda Jakarta Center mengundang narasumber yang dikenal sebagai seorang ekonom dan politisi yang teguh pada prinsip, Faisal Basri, untuk memberikan ceramah dan teropong mengenai kondisi ekonomi di tahun 2011.

Acara yang menampilkan produk CR-V ini dikemas dalam bentuk Seminar & Talk Show di Hotel Nikko pada tanggal 26 Januari 2011, serta dihadiri sekitar 150 orang peserta dari berbagai perusahaan terkemuka rekanan Honda di Jakarta.

Seminar & talk show mengenai prospek bisnis di tahun 2011 menjadi kegiatan pertama Honda Jakarta Center memasuki tahun yang baru ini. Bersama-sama dengan peserta acara tingkat manajerial dari berbagai perusahaan terkemuka di Jakarta, manajemen Honda Jakarta Center memperoleh wacana dalam mengambil keputusan dari ekonom yang juga Dosen Universitas Indonesia, Faisal Basri.

“Setiap orang tentunya mempunyai visi ke depan dan berpengharapan untuk mencapai taraf kehidupan yang cukup baik. Dengan informasi yang cukup, para pelaku bisnis akan dapat membuat keputusan yang tepat dan efisien dalam mencapai kesuksesan di tahun 2011”, demikian pandangan Daniel Agus, Direktur Honda Jakarta Center.

Bertempat di Hotel Nikko, Faisal Basri menjelaskan ‘track record’ dan future challenge mengenai kondisi ekonomi Indonesia. Uraian tersebut disajikan dengan apik dan terperinci, sehingga memberikan benang merah dalam teropong ekonomi 2011 yang diuraikan berikutnya. Sesi ini memberikan sebuah pencerahan mengenai potensi dan tantangan yang dihadapi pelaku bisnis ke depan.

Setelah mengikuti seminar & talk show, peserta acara diajak untuk membuka wawasan mengenai fashion. Ya, benar! Selain aktif membuka wawasan mengenai bisnis, kaum urban juga aktif membuka wawasan terkait trend mode dan pakaian… Sesi fashion show dipersembahkan oleh LaSalle College Jakarta dengan mempersembahkan pakaian berbahan daur ulang yang terdiri dari plastic dan kawat nyamuk! Hal ini sesuai dengan tema go green yang diusung oleh Honda secara konsisten.

Honda juga menghadirkan seorang public figure yang smart dan cantik yaitu Bella Saphira. Bella yang terkenal karirnya di dunia modelling, sinetron dan film membagi pengalamannya sebagai salah satu loyal customer Honda. Dipandu oleh presenter Harsya Subandrio, diskusi dan obrolan berlangsung segar dan menarik.

“Manfaat yang diperoleh dengan mengikuti acara tidak terbatas pada menambah wawasan, namun juga menjadi ajang silaturahmi dan hiburan ditengah padatnya kota Jakarta. Honda CR-Z Edisi Japan Car of The Year


TOKYO- Tahun 2010 meninggalkan kesan yang manis bagi Honda CR-Z karena berhasil menyabet predikat “Japan Car of the Year 2010-2011” oleh Japan Car of the Year Executive Committee.

Sebagai bentuk apresiasi atas penghargaan ini, prinsipal Honda di Jepang memberikan sedikit perubahan pada tampilan CR-Z.

Dari segi eksterior terlihat jelas bahwa warna andalan yang digunakan kali ini dipilih deep sapphire blue pearl setelah sebelumnya mengandalkan warna Milano Red pada saat pertama kali diluncurkan pada Januari 2010 silam.

Selain warna, Honda CR-Z edisi khusus ini juga menggunakan desain pelek alloy 16 inci yang baru yang terlihat lebih sporty. Stiker Japan Car of the Year pun tak lupa disematkan di pintu kaca samping kanan sebagai kebanggaan tersendiri bagi pengguna Honda CR-Z.

Untuk interior, perubahan hanya terdapat pada bagian pedal gas dan rem yang didesain lebih sporty demi menegaskan image Honda CR-Z sebagai mobil sport-hybrid.

Sementara dari sisi performa mesin, Honda CR-Z masih mengandalkan dapur pacu mesin i-VTEC 1,5 liter dipadu dengan tenaga baterai Integrated Motor Assist (IMA). Honda CR-Z juga mampu mencatatkan konsumsi bahan bakar yang fantastis, yaitu 1 liter untuk 25 kilometer pemakaian jarak dekat (dalam kota) dan 1 liter untuk 27 kilometer untuk pemakaian jarak jauh (luar kota).

Mengenai harga jual tidak akan ada perubahan yang signifikan sedangkan target market Honda CR-Z semakin bertambah. Honda CR-Z sudah mulai dipasarkan di Afrika Selatan pada akhir Desember 2010 lalu.

Harga Jual Honda CR-V, Jazz & Accord Paling Stabil


JAKARTA- Beberapa model Honda berhasil meraih “2011 Best Resale Value Awards” dari situs Kelley Blue Book di Amerika Serikat (AS).

Penghargaan tahunan yang diadakan oleh situs tersebut bertujuan untuk memberikan penghargaan kepada para produsen mobil yang mampu mempertahankan harga jual kembali mobil tersebut dalam kurun waktu lima tahun setelah masa pembelian.

Honda berhasil meraih empat buah penghargaan dalam ajang “2011 Best Resale Value Awards”. Honda CR-V berhasil masuk ke dalam sepuluh besar daftar Best Resale Value Cars dari semua kategori yang ada sekaligus meraih kategori Compact Utility Vehicle.

Sedangkan dari segmen Subcompact Car, Honda Fit atau yang lebih dikenal dengan nama Honda Jazz di Indonesia juga berhasil meraih Best Resale Value Award untuk kategori tersebut.

Honda Fit (Jazz) berhasil mempertahankan predikatnya sebagai mobil yang irit bahan bakar (fuel economic), serta fun to drive berkat fitur-fitur unggulannya.

Untuk kategori Mid-Size Car, Honda Accord Sedan juga berhasil meraih Best Resale Value Award sekaligus sebagai pendatang baru yang masuk ke dalam daftar Best Resale Value.

Honda Accord yang sudah ada lebih dari tiga dekade ini menyandang predikat sebagai mobil yang solid, ultra-reliable, ergonomik, serta fun to drive. Selain itu Honda Accord Coupe juga berhasil terpilih sebagai Best Resale Value Brand dalam ajang pemilihan tersebut.

Accord 2012 Lebih Ramah Lingkungan


GENEWA - Accord, sedan mewah buatan pabrikan asal Jepang Honda, nampaknya akan segera berganti wajah, diiringi dengan beberapa pembenahan, terutama dibagian mesin agar lebih ramah lingkungan.

Pada bagian depan, terlihat head lap dan bumper yang dirancang ulang, sehingga nampak lebih mewah, namun tetap mencuatkan aura sporty.

Bahkan untuk tipe tertinggi, (top-spec) Accord tersebut dilengkapi dengan lampu bi-xenon, dan active cornering lamp, sehingga akan meningkatkan keamanan berkendara di malam hari.

Sedangkan untuk dibagian belakang, terdapat tatakan pelat nomor yang dilapis krom, sehingga membuatnya lebih mewah. Rencananya, Accord versi 2012 ini akan diharikan dalam tiga pilihan warna yakni Alabaster Silver, Graphite Lustre dan Celestial Blue Pearl.

Seperti yang sudah dikatakan sebelumnya, Honda sedang konsen terhadap masalah emisi yang dihasilkan Accord. Untuk itu, mobil terbaru ini akan menggunakan mesin i-DTEC berkapasitas 2.200 cc.

Seperti dilansir autoevolution Minggu (30/01/2011) mesin tersebut sanggup menghasilkan tenaga hingga 150 horse power, yang menjanjikan tingkat CO2 hanya 138 gram per kilometer. Di Eropa, Honda Accord model Type S akan tersedia dengan mesin bertenaga 180 hp.

Rencananya, Honda Accord 2012 ini akan dijual di seluruh Eropa pada bulan April, dengan harga yang diperkirakan akan diumumkan di pameran Genewa Motor Show pada maret mendatang.

Honda Freed dari Bahan Daur Ulang



JAKARTA- Bila modifikasi lain hadir dengan tema ekstrim, elegan, VIP, JDM, street racing, atau bahkan daily use, maka berbeda dengan Honda Freed yang satu ini.

"Konsep mobil saya Go Green," buka Tomi Gunawan sang empunya modifikasi saat ditemui okezone disela acara Jazz Freed Tuning Contest 2010, di Mal Kelapa Gading 3, Jakarta.

Tema Go Green ini ternyata tak sekedar slogan semata. Sebab Tomi menerapkan bahan-bahan daur ulang pada MPV besutan Honda tersebut.

"Beberapa bagian saya bikin dari bahan-bahan yang sudah tidak terpakai," sebutnya. Misalnya saja untuk bumper depan, side skirt, dan bumper belakang. Tomi ternyata mengambilnya dari bumper-bumper mobil lain yang sudah tidak terpakai.

Bumper-bumper bekas itu kemudian ia potong-potong sesuai kebutuhan dan disambung dengan lem khusus kemudian didempul dan dicat ulang kembali. Begitu pula dengan grill. Bagian ini ternyata malah dicomot dari grill All New Civic bekas yang diakuinya sudah patah. Dibawah grill disematkan pula aksen krom yang diambil dari pelat besi bekas yang disambung-sambung menyesuaikan bentuk bumper depan kemudian dikrom ulang.

Beranjak ke dalam kabin, tidak ada ubahan yang terlalu signifikan dari interior Freed lansiran 2010 itu. "Sengaja saya buat se-simple mungkin dan semuanya berguna karena sesuai konsep Go Green saya hilangkan modifikasi yang berlebihan dan buang-buang bahan," tegasnya.

Untuk bagian jok lagi-lagi ia menggunakan bahan MB Tech bekas pada beberapa sisinya. Jok menggunakan kelir kombinasi hijau dan putih, dan pada head rest ada logo recycle.

Kemudian dibagian sound system, Tomi menggunakan label Venom yang ia pesan khusus agar berwarna hijau. Dibagian belakang Tomi membuat pula rak serbaguna dari bahan plat besi bekas yang dia potong sesui kebutuhan, kemudian di krom ulang. Hasilnya rak ini bisa dipakai untuk menyimpan baju dan sepatu sang pemilik mobil.

Sebagai punggawa Tomi Airbrush, pria ini menuangkan kreasi gambar bertema Go Green di bagian plafon mobil. "Saya pakai cat khusus agar menempel dengan kulit yang dipakai untuk bagian atap ini," terangnya. Pilihan gambar tersebut membuat nuansa hijau dan putih mendominasi interior mobil ini.

Walau mengaku belum puas dengan garapan modifiaksinya, Tomi mengungkapkan, kreasinya kali ini memakan biaya termurah yang pernah dia kerjakan. "Untuk eksterior saja tidak sampai Rp10 juta, bandingkan kalau buat bodykit baru yang bisa Rp25 juta," imbuhnya.

PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) last year were also confirmed to bring 2011 New Honda Jazz Facelift (in Japan titled Honda Fit) in Indonesia.
However, there is no detail information about 2011 Honda Jazz Facelift including the price projection.

New Honda CR-V 2011 Excellent Safety Car

The exterior of the 2011 Honda CR-V will not be significantly changed. The LX, EX, and EX-L models will return as either a front or all-wheel drive variant. The 17-inch wheels that were standard before will remain as well.

The inside of the CRV is very comfortable and functional. Controls are well-placed and nicely designed and the quality of the build is exceptional. Luggage capacity will remain impressive in this class at around 35 cubic feet with the seats up and expanding to more than seventy cubic feet with the rear seats folded down. Full power features are standard on all trim levels as is air conditioning, cruise control, sliding and reclining rear seats, a four-speaker stereo system with CD/MP3 player and auxiliary jack and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel.

Base models of the 2011 Honda CR-V boast clean designs and pretty good materials quality. By upping the ante and upgrading to the EX-L, though, drivers can enjoy a decidedly decadent all-leather interior. A Special Edition, or SE, trim is expected for the 2011 CR-V and it should add additional exciting features. Space is ample, as is cargo capacity, making the CR-V a natural choice for families on-the-go.


When the power was increased for the 2010 model year for the CR-V reviewers cheered, but were still a bit disappointed at the lack of a V6 engine, which is what most of the competition offers. Honda’s 4-cylinder is capable…barely…but it is what it is and it doesn’t work miracles. The handling is nice and responsive as is the braking system.

Meskipun berkarakter sport, namun kesan elegan tidak bisa dihilangkan begitu saja, dengan desain grill terbaru berlabur krom, yang selaras dengan sepasang lampu utamanya yang meruncing kesamping.

Detroit Auto Show: 2012 Honda Civic Si Coupe Concept


Honda has unveiled its 2012 Civic Si Concept at the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, previewing the production versions of the popular small car and targeting a growing number of competitors with an aggressive new look and multiple engine choices.

With a series of revamped elements at the exterior and improved interiors, the Honda Civic Si Sedan and Coupe Concepts features 19 inch alloys, and while he four-door model looks pretty much similar to the current generation Civic, the 2-door seams heavily inspired by the current Accord Coupe.

Meanwhile, four-door buyers can expect an exterior design very similar to the 2011 Civic. Though the sedan's front-fascia wears a little bit more menace than the current design, the carried-over grille and headlights are more than a little familiar. Out back, new tail lamps and a re-sculpted trunk deck dominate the view.

Under the hood, power will be provided by the "widest array of engine choices available in its class." Options will include conventional petrol units, a natural gas variant, and a hybrid. The latter is slated to adopt the newest Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) system which will be powered by a lithium-ion battery - a first for a Honda.

The new 2012 Honda Civic will go on sale in Spring 2011.

Honda Debuts Sleek and Sophisticated Concepts for All-New 2012 Civic Si Coupe and Civic Sedan Models

The Honda Civic Si Concept coupe and Civic Concept sedan are making world debuts at the North American International Auto Show today, providing the first official glimpse at the styling direction of the all-new, ninth-generation 2012 model set to go on sale this spring, the company announced.

"The redesigned Civic builds on this legacy and promises to be the best Civic yet."

The 2012 Civic embraces the company's vision as a "Civic for all people," a phrase originally expressed in defining the goal of the first-generation Civic. With the widest array of engine choices available in its class, the 2012 Civic lineup intends to meet the needs of an increasing group of compact-vehicle buyers with a renewed vision of a "Civic for all people." The diverse vehicle range includes a sedan and a coupe with conventional gasoline models, two sporty "Si" performance versions, along with one hybrid and a natural gas alternative-fuel variant. Collectively the depth of the Civic line offers a compelling balance between fuel economy, low emissions and fun-to-drive performance unlike any other vehicle in the industry.

As a new interpretation of the current Civic's iconic "one-motion" mono-form shape, the upcoming, ninth-generation Civic conveys a more substantial, high-energy appearance. The exterior styling of both Civic concept models showcases the sedan's and coupe's clean-yet-powerful lines with steeply raked windshields, wide stances and pronounced character lines along the profile. The lower character line on both models broadens toward the rear fenders to enhance the dynamic feeling of forward energy. The front fender surface treatments form a complex, three-dimensional look to further enhance the image of sophistication and structural depth against the deeply set headlights.

The Civic Concept sedan takes on a sophisticated presence with a front grille defined by crisp lines and a solid bar that integrates a chrome Honda emblem. The look of the Civic Si Concept coupe conveys an aggressive demeanor with a more angular front fascia, mesh grille and a tapered rear roofline that flows smoothly into the trunk. The Civic Si Concept coupe is exclusively equipped with a rear air diffuser, a center-mounted exhaust outlet and a rear deck lid spoiler with dual vents. Each concept model has 19-inch machined alloy wheels.

Powertrain Technology
The Civic's family of engines with "intelligent" Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control (i-VTEC®) technology become even more fuel efficient for 2012. The upcoming Civic Hybrid offers the latest generation of the compact and lightweight Integrated Motor AssistTM (IMATM) gasoline-electric hybrid system and features the first application of a lithium-ion battery in a Honda hybrid.

Building on its emphasis on fuel-economy, most upcoming Civic models receive Honda Eco AssistTM technology, already available in the CR-Z and Insight hybrids. The 2012 Civic is the first U.S. Honda model to employ Eco Assist technology in a gasoline-only powered vehicle. Eco Assist is just one example of how the new Civic can be customized and configured by the drivers to suit individual preferences.

Additionally, Honda is expanding retail sales of the natural gas-powered Civic GX model, which is the only OEM-built, dedicated CNG passenger car assembled in America.
